A method to configure and to parameterize an IT device or network node (e.g. a DSL CPE, IAD, router, SIP phone). 

It is determined without human intervention whether conditions are satisfied for sending the configuration data to a particular node within the provider network. If it is determined that conditions are satisfied, then the configuration data is sent to the particular node and activated.

This technique allows changes in configuration data to be pushed to provider nodes without human intervention.

Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) is the implementation of actions, workflows, and operations required to enable subscribers to self-subscribe to provider services.
