Executive Summary

Internet Protocol (IP) service assurance encompasses the software and processes that provide greater operational insight into the availability and quality of new IP services.

The latency associated with many IP services has caused concern over their quality and compatibility with many legacy operations support systems. In this context, service, performance and fault management of customer IP services or IP service assurance is increasingly becoming of strategic importance for carriers' operations.

Technical Summary

Axess Components 

  • Axess SDM (Statistics, Diagnostics and Monitoring) server 
  • Deployment southbound of any existing ACS, transparent for provisioning and support flows

Specification

With 5000 transactions per second one server instance is fit for large scale periodic diagnostic runs even on scaled up deployments. 

  • The data is preconsolidated and normalized into a high performance database cluster.
  • Completely customizable management dashboards are available via the solution.
  • History data for the first and second line support staff is available directly from the server, via internal UIs or northbound interfaces.  
  • Real time export of data into service assurance solutions, like JDSU’s Home PM umbrella monitoring solution.
